Health in the Mountains – Health in the Hotel

The mountain region hides real treasures underground. One of them is the Gasteiner Heilstollen healing mine. The combination of high humidity, heat, and rare radon gas inside the Radhausberg mountain in Bad Gastein is unique in the world. Thanks to its proven effect as a natural analgesic, radon therapy helps with skin, respiratory, and musculoskeletal disorders and chronic pain; radon also has anti-inflammatory effects and stabilizes the immune system.
 
After a 2.5-kilometer journey, guests reach the depths of the mountain. The therapeutic section of the treatment tunnel comprises a total of five stations. There are loungers available for visitors to relax on while the radon is gradually absorbed into the body through the skin and lungs. From a medical point of view, a treatment duration of two to four weeks is recommended, with patients visiting the healing tunnel three to four times a week. The treatment is complemented by other active and passive therapies in the healing tunnel or directly at the hotel.
