Healing springs for health
In Luhačovice, spa doctors prescribe cold mineral waters that are heated in various ways for various ailments. For example, the highly mineralised carbonic and iodine mineral water Aloiska is prescribed by doctors to improve digestion and metabolic processes in the body. "The carbonic baths in the mineral springs of Jaroslav and St. Joseph are indispensable in the fight against cardiovascular problems, especially in diabetics," says MUDr. Jana Mahdalíková, head doctor of the MIRAMARE Luhačovice Spa Hotels. However, water also contributes to overall physical and mental stamina and fitness through scotch splashes, bubble baths, therapeutic gymnastics in the pool or swimming.
Traditional Vincentka
Perhaps the most famous mineral spring in the Czech Republic is the cold iodine bicarbonate sodium chloride acid Luhačovice Vincentka. It helps in the treatment of respiratory diseases, both in the form of a drinking cure and through gargling, nasal rinses and inhalation. Vincentka moistens the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, dilutes the mucus and makes it easier to cough out.
