Therapeutic springs in MIRAMARE Spa Hotels

Did you know that there are 14 mineral springs of bicarbonate-chloride-sodium acid and one sulphuric spring in Luhačovice? The spa specializes mainly in the treatment of upper and lower respiratory tract, digestive system, metabolic disorders and endocrine glands (diabetes, obesity), diseases of the locomotive system, peripheral vessels and nerves and oncological diseases in remission. The Miramare Spa Hotel uses the Jaroslava therapeutic spring right in the house, and the St. Joseph spring located right next to the Miramare is used for drinking cures.

Healing springs for health
In Luhačovice, spa doctors prescribe cold mineral waters that are heated in various ways for various ailments. For example, the highly mineralised carbonic and iodine mineral water Aloiska is prescribed by doctors to improve digestion and metabolic processes in the body. "The carbonic baths in the mineral springs of Jaroslav and St. Joseph are indispensable in the fight against cardiovascular problems, especially in diabetics," says MUDr. Jana Mahdalíková, head doctor of the MIRAMARE Luhačovice Spa Hotels. However, water also contributes to overall physical and mental stamina and fitness through scotch splashes, bubble baths, therapeutic gymnastics in the pool or swimming.

Traditional Vincentka
Perhaps the most famous mineral spring in the Czech Republic is the cold iodine bicarbonate sodium chloride acid Luhačovice Vincentka. It helps in the treatment of respiratory diseases, both in the form of a drinking cure and through gargling, nasal rinses and inhalation. Vincentka moistens the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract, dilutes the mucus and makes it easier to cough out.

Therapeutic mineral water - a benefit for you

Sebestian Kneipp was already famous for his hydrotherapy and baths more than a hundred years ago. Today's spa industry has perfected them with the help of modern knowledge. However, it is no longer the case that only sick elderly people go to the baths. On the contrary. They are increasingly used by those who work hard and need to relax and recharge their batteries. However, the waters, whether for drinking or bathing, are not the only benefit of the spa. "Each of our spa facilities offers about fifty treatments, somewhere more, and the wellness hotel offers twenty to thirty. These include various types of massages, wraps, electrotherapy... Most stays also include a consultation with a doctor, nutritional advice, rest and enough sleep," says Ing. Martin Plachý, director of the ROYAL SPA network of spa and wellness hotels.
