Trip Tip

Relaxing Cruise and Family-Friendly Excursion

The Baťa Canal, a historic waterway built between 1934 and 1938, is 52 km long and ranks among the most attractive tourist routes in Moravia. The cruise between Otrokovice and Petrov (or Skalica) is enriched by 13 locks, 8 ports and 16 marinas, which connect to numerous cycling routes in the picturesque surroundings.
Cyclists and Wine Lovers Welcome
Along the Baťa Canal runs a main cycling path over 80 km long. Its mostly asphalt surface is appreciated by long-distance cyclists, inline skaters and families with children. The routes are also connected to the Moravian Wine Trails, and the easy, flat terrain makes them ideal for seniors and visitors with limited mobility.
